Fuel and electricity cost calculator for cars

Our online fuel cost calculator helps you estimate trip cost for gasoline, diesel, hybrid and electric cars. You can see the cost per 1 km, per 100 km, or for the entire route based on fuel price, consumption, electricity price and charging losses.

With this tool you can easily compare two cars — for example diesel vs hybrid, or EV vs gasoline. It shows which car is cheaper to run and how much money you can save per year.

Use it for trip planning, budget estimation, choosing a car before purchase, and analyzing yearly fuel or electricity expenses. Change route distance, annual mileage, fuel consumption or electricity usage and get results instantly.

If you’re considering buying a car from Germany or Europe, this calculator helps you understand real running costs across powertrains, especially when comparing EVs, hybrids and classic ICE vehicles.

Use this free calculator to optimize your budget, reduce running costs and choose the most cost-effective vehicle for daily commuting or long trips.

FAQ about car running costs

How much does 100 km cost on gasoline?

It depends on fuel consumption and price per liter. For example, 8 L/100 km at 55 UAH/L costs 440 UAH per 100 km.

How much does 1 km cost in an electric car?

If an EV uses 18 kWh per 100 km and electricity costs 6 UAH per kWh, then 1 km costs about 1.08 UAH (before losses).

What’s cheaper — an EV or a gasoline car?

In most cases an EV is cheaper to run, especially with frequent driving and home charging. This calculator helps compare EV, hybrid and ICE precisely.

How do I calculate trip expenses?

Enter trip distance, fuel or electricity consumption and price. The calculator shows total cost, cost per 1 km and per 100 km.

Can I compare two cars?

Yes. Switch to “2 cars” mode and compare any two cars — diesel vs hybrid or EV vs gasoline — to see which is cheaper to operate.
